Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the record label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was recorded for an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway with her voice, has given the song a boost of recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and being fascinated by the music it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not as a job or a hobby however, as a chance to improve. So she started her own compositions. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork for being among her inspirations. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote could be used to not be famous for her, rather to help people to see the importance of their work and influence in this world, she began singing them in public. She started playing piano when she was only six and was writing her first song when she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her musical journey until she was fourteen. The dream was never to turn into Aurora. She just loves to write songs. According to her music, is the most efficient means of communicating anything.
