Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the record label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise by music journalists and press. The singer has released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. It earned her some recognition. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to pursue music solely to have fun or as a means of growth but rather, she was encouraged to pursue it. In the end, she began to write the music she composed herself. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork for being among her inspirations. She began performing her songs publicly when her mother suggested that they might help others not be famous with her work but to make those around them see the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument, at six, and she started creating music after turning nine. The family did not be aware until 14. Aurora was not a goal. She says she just likes to compose songs. She claims that music is her preferred method of feeling something.
