Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, at Stavanger) is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from music bloggers and the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was made for an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. She gained some further recognition via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano in the attic. She was fascinated by its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to play music only for fun or to aid in growing, but that she was encouraged to pursue it. The singer began to write her own songs. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favorite composers. Her mom encouraged her to play her music publicly, not to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others that they matter and how they can make a difference for the world. She was suggested by her mother to be able to perform her music publicly in order so that people can see their own importance and how they impact the world. The family did not be aware until fourteen. The dream was never to become Aurora. Aurora claims she loves composing songs. She believes that music is the most effective method to experience anything.
