Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. Since the mid 80s she has been working in film and TV. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett originates born in New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. The mother of Bassett had divorced from her father at about five. Her younger sister later relocated to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream to become an actor been realized. She attended Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. The couple got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead parts, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
