Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the US. Her work has earned her recognition for her TV and film performances since the early 1980s. Her accolades include the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her birthplace was and grew up within New York New York. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was around five. She and her younger sister moved to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. While in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama awarded a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in 1980. The school she attended was the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades in addition to Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
