Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 in 1961) was an American actor. In the TV and film industry, she is known for her numerous nominations and awards. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett as well as her sister and their mother were moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father divorced their mother. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of becoming an actor had been born. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. graduated from the Yale School of Drama School with a master's degree in African American studies, in 1980.
