Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. In the TV and film industry, she's known for her numerous awards and nominations. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her birthplace was and grew up in New York New York. Bassett as well as her younger sister at the age of five old, moved out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their divorced father. Bassett was in high school when she saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and realized that her desire to become an actor come true. After graduating at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with the Bachelor's degree of African American Studies, she went on to earn an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama conferred the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in the year. The school she attended was the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading parts, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
