Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 1960) is an American actor. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked on film and television. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett comes born in New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett as well as her sister, and their mother were moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father had separated from their mom. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was at high school and decided that acting is what she was looking to pursue. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American studies) in 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School.
