Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. Known for her work in TV and film since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Her birthplace was and raised at home in New York New York. Bassett as well as her younger sister aged five, old, emigrated from New York to St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their divorced father. Bassett was in high school when watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and realized that her desire to become an actor come true. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working in one of the lead roles in the film Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
