Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s. She has received various accolades including two Golden Globe Awards as well as sixteen NAACP Image Award. in the television and film industry, she's known for her nominations and awards. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt who lived in New York New York. As Bassett was five years old She and her sister moved into St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who was separated from their father. When she was in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. The year was 1980 and Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale In 1997, they were married. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1981. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
